The Park Plan
Wholly fenced and shut over the night the Wilson Park spreads over 6,6 ha area. You may enter it through 6 gates, out of which the most impressive 3-spanned one is located at Głogowska Street. From the sides of Głogowska and Berwińskiego Streets the Park is surrounded by two ancient fences, reconstructed in 1993 as the ones dated back to 1926 and 1928.
The Park consists of two parts – the northern and southern ones. The southern, with ponds, artificial hills and alpinarium keeps the English style, imitating the wild nature whereas the northern one which is next to The very Palm House, presents the French style – geometrical patterns of paths and plants.
The Wilson Park is an area full of trees. Up to 1925 it played a role of the Municipal Botanic Garden. Here you can get acquainted with The Wilson Park History
