There are three air-raid shelters in The Wilson Park. They were built in 1944 for the Germans who lived in the luxury tenement houses at Matejki Street at that time. The shelter is available for visitors and it is located at Matejki Street Gate. It has got two big entrances and one emergency exit. It contains a number of narrow and winding underpasses of 110 meters total length. The shelter was discovered only in 1998 when The Wilson Park and The Palm House were being reconstructed.
