Description
The very centre of the pavilion is Victoria regia reservoir. Its floating leaves, covered with spikes on the bottom may reach even 2 metres in diameter and their unusual construction and displacement make it easy to weigh a little child on them. The banks of the reservoir are thickly inhabited by numerous representatives of Pandanus sp., the plants of swampy area of tropical zone. The reservoir's ledges are grown by utilitarian plants such as Saccharum officinarum, Musa x sapientum and Musa nana, trees of Coffea Arabica, Theobroma cacao as well as Bixa orellana. Pay your special attention to Cocos nucifera which is bearing fruits all year round that is very rare in botanical collections.
