Description
The collection mainly consists of the plants that represent the African flora, the most numerously presented by spurges, aloes, various caudexes as well as cycads and palms. Special attention ought to be paid to a numerous group of the cycads with the oldest plant of The Poznań Palm House (400 years old) which is Macrozamia moorei. One of the most interesting cycad forms in botanical sense is a specimen of Encephalartos laurentianus which seed was brought from the wild to Poznań by prof. St. Lisowski of Geobotany Faculty of Adam Mickiewicz University several years ago.
